About this event

This Studio Session is about exploring a new wave of freestyle hand embroidery expression in visual art. We will be physically manipulating photo portraits by stitching directly on top of them to create new personalities/characters on faces through freestyle embroidery… whatever that means to you! Come for a fun, and untraditional embroidery art experience.

As an indie art gallery, we believe in art as a lived experience of the many. Pioneering new ways of making art accessible in a post-covid landscape, we are proud to launch our Bleur Takeovers series, partnering with carefully selected venues across London to bring art closer to the people and support our artists. This Spring, we are thrilled to team up with the brilliant guys at Little Louie in Elephant Park: café by day, wine and cocktail bar by night. From mindfulness drawing to freestyle embroidery, join our talented collective of artists for weekly creative sessions every Wednesday evening from 7-9pm. You’ll be immersing yourself in cutting edge art explorations while socialising with your favourite drink — what’s not to like? Tickets will sell fast so make sure to grab yours!

Price includes all materials needed for the session and a drink voucher to redeem at the bar. Ticket sales go straight to supporting our artists.

About the artist

Nicole is a London-based embroidery artist whose distinctive style combining freestyle embroidery with photography and digital media has been widely praised by the press and household names. In 2019, Nicole was named one of the ’25 future faces 25 and under’ by Evening Standard Magazine as part of their London Progress 1000 list. In 2020, Nicole released her limited edition sneakers named “Vixens” in collaboration with Nike, and was selected as ‘new artists to watch’ by Elephant magazine and Crxss Platfxrm.
