The Art of Coffee: a series of festive art classes for coffee lovers

The Gentlemen Baristas and Bleur have teamed up to bring you ‘The Art of Coffee’ campaign, a series of festive card-making classes using the medium of coffee. 10% of the proceeds from the ticket sales will go to social enterprise Well Grounded to help change the lives of unemployed people through coffee.

During the class taught by artist Eva Merendes, you will explore the medium of an ink made from coffee and watercolours to express your own artistic potential in a relaxed, friendly and fun class. Through a series of activities, you will learn key watercolour techniques and gain an insight into the construction of works on paper using inspiration from every day objects. You will leave the class with an exploratory collection of small studies on paper and a set of unique hand-made festive cards made with coffee to send to your loved ones this Winter.

Price includes all materials needed for the class and delicious refreshments. As with all creative experimentations, things can get a bit messy so make sure you wear old clothes that you don’t mind getting paint on. Open to anyone, no previous experience required. Over 18s only. This class is part of a series of 3 classes.

About the artist

Eva Merendes is a Greek self-taught mixed-media artist who moved to London in 2016 to pursue her artistic aspirations. Influenced by her studies in Psychology, Eva offers an unconventional perspective where art becomes a tool for scientific study of the mind and behaviours to unveil what lies beneath the surface.

COVID-19 information: Classes capacity has been reduced to allow for social distancing and cleaning measures are in place before each class. Each group of participants will have their own table and tools. We encourage participants to wear masks where possible.
