FAQs

What does Bleur do?

Bleur is an online artist-first platform designed to connect independent artists with a new generation of art buyers to offer a curated selection of affordable, original artworks. Bleur was created to champion emerging talent and make space for diverse voices to be heard. It enables artists to the share stories and the creative process behind their work – and in turn, allow art lovers to become part of their journeys.

Do you curate the art on offer?

We don’t curate towards certain genres of art on our platform. We believe that each artist has an audience out there and it is just a matter of finding it with the right technology and tools. We want to offer art buyers the choice to decide what type of art they like without skewing their choice. We do curate the quality of the offering and the storytelling to give an equal chance to each artist on the platform to connect with their audience.

How do you select artists?

We meet all of our artists face-to-face and spend a lot of time understanding their practice and whether we can help them reach their audience. There is no automatic selection process and we accept artists from all backgrounds. It often comes down to whether we think the fit is right in terms of the art on offer and the ethos of Bleur.

What is an Original artwork?

An Original artwork is a unique piece of work of a single quantity. Once you purchase it, you own the only copy of the artwork.

What is a Limited Edition print?

A limited Edition print is a set number of prints which are identical. Once all copies are sold, the print is no longer available. Bleur only sells small batches of Limited Edition prints as the less number in an edition the more value the prints have.

Buying Process

Am I making the right investment?

Capital appreciation of an artwork often depends on many factors such as availability, future trends and the artists themselves. It is very hard to predict whether an artwork will appreciate with time and Van Gogh would certainly agree with that. Every artist is different and the best thing to do is to buy art that you love.
