FRAMING
OPTIONS

At Bleur, we have an unconditional love for beautiful framing to complement our artists’ works as well as act as a protection for the artwork. We know framing can be tricky and it is easy to get lost in the array of choices. That’s why we have developed a unique approach to framing by bringing together our favourite bespoke framers to offer you the best options for each artwork and for your budget. All the framers we work with have their own niche and are the best at what they do.

Here are our framing styles on offer designed in collaboration with our artists and framers. You can choose between options picked specifically for each artwork and in case you can’t decide we have included our recommendation on each artwork page or you can let one of our framers make the choice for you by selecting our Framer’s pick.

Anti-reflective glass is available on all the options at an additional cost, but we always recommend it for increased protection against UV light. All our framers use PH-neutral and acid-free materials to preserve the artworks in their original condition. If we are shipping your artwork a long way and to make sure it gets to you safely, we may use acrylic rather than glass.

THE PREMIUM FRAME BY THE FRAMING ROOM

A ‘wow-factor’ framing that gives the impression that your artwork is floating. The work is float mounted and raised by 5mm using a foam board onto a snow white mountboard (8001) with 25mm borders. The box frame is hand-finished with 12mm spacers using state-of-the-art conservations materials and techniques. Best for original ink, watercolours or collages artworks.

Available in walnut, lime-waxed ash, oak, white tulip, black ash and framer's pick bespoke to each artwork.

THE HIPSTER FRAME BY WE ARE FACILITY

The hipster of frames. A modern twist on a timeless classic with a slim metal and a 50mm mount sitting on top of the artwork. The mount and frame colour are selected by the framers based on the best combination for your artwork.

Available in framer’s mount and metal pick bespoke to each artwork.

THE BUDGET FRAME BY DAVID MITCHELL

Let the artwork speak for itself with our budget-friendly box frame option chosen for you by our artists so you don’t have to worry about what to pick. The artwork is framed in a shallow frame with the glass raised 20mm above the artwork creating a box effect. For each artwork, the artist chooses between window mounted, box framed flushed to the edge of the frame or float mounted using a 5mm foam board in black or white wood.

Available in artist's pick choice of open grain black, open grain white, matt black or white-washed wood.

THE TRAY FRAME BY THE FRAMING ROOM

For works on canvas, panel, wood or board, tray framing is a beautiful way to add depth to your artwork. The canvas mounted without glass with a 5mm shadow gap, sits deep in the frame slightly back from the face of the frame to prevent damage.

Available in walnut, oak, black tulip and framer's pick bespoke to each artwork.
