As part of our collaboration The Art of Coffee with The Gentlemen Baristas, our talented artist Blandine Bardeau developed a fun and playful ink made 100% from coffee ground!
Here is a very simple recipe to try at home with your loved ones during the festivities and fill your home with the smell of coffee:
- Make 300ml of coffee by either making a very strong espresso with a machine, or by using a cafetière: mix 80g coffee with 400g water.
- Wait 5mins so the coffee can settle at the bottom of the cafetière.
- Use the smallest saucepan you have, bring coffee to boil.
- Simmer for 10 min (you can simmer for longer if you would like a darker shade).
You should be able to make between 50-100ml of ink in this recipe.
